Your invoice
During your admission, you do not have to pay anything. The invoice will be sent to you and to your health insurance company, care facility or your insurance company afterwards.
The invoice is prepared according to legal requirements. All hospitals must use that model of invoice.
Intervention of health insurance fund
For those who are in order with the Belgian health insurance, a large part of the costs will usually be billed directly to the health insurance fund. This amount is listed on the invoice under 'charged to your health insurance fund'. Your bill will then only cover your personal share and supplements.

Tip: make sure you have the invoice number with you.
