Hospital Network
Since 2019, the hospitals az Vesalius (Tongeren), Jessa (Hasselt), Sint-Franciscus (Heusden-Zolder) and Sint-Trudo (Sint-Truiden) have formed a clinical network that aims to offer high-quality and affordable care close to the patient. In the andreaz hospital network, existing expertise is combined, the quality of care for patients is increased and that care is offered as close to home as possible.
Knowledge sharing & exchange of competencies and resources
Through knowledge sharing and exchange of competencies and resources, the four hospitals that are part of andreaz can work more efficiently and develop a broader high-quality medical offering. This is positive for patients but also offers many career opportunities for doctors and other employees. Andreaz thus aims to be an attractive employer for the greatest talents.
Access to the right care at the right time
Patients often have a familiar hospital close to home and can be treated and cared for in that hospital as much as possible during their care journey. Thanks to the network, that happens with all the knowledge and expertise available in our four hospitals.
Wider cooperation
Cooperation does not stop at our four hospitals, of course. Together with general practitioners, home nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare partners, we roll out our healthcare services further to support patients in the best possible way. Even if they are not within the walls of the hospital.
Three good reasons for 'andreaz'?
On June 16, 2022, we announced the new name for the network.
We chose 'andreaz' for three reasons:
Andreaz naturally refers to Andreas Vesalius, the founder of modern medicine and emphasizes the quality and professionalism we stand for with the four hospitals.
Andreaz ends in -az because it is about four general hospitals but mainly because the hospital network wants to be complete in its care offer, from a to z.
Andreaz is a first name of a "human being," which emphasizes the closeness, warmth and accessibility of our network. We are close to our colleagues, patients and their loved ones, healthcare partners and other partners.
