Collaboration with patient associations
Sint-Trudo Hospital is committed to structural cooperation between patient associations and hospitals. We endorse the concept of Self Help Friendly Hospital by signing the declaration of intent of ZOPP vzw - Limburg.
ZOPP vzw - Limburg is a cooperation initiative between the Vlaams Patiëntenplatform vzw and the Trefpunt Zelfhulp vzw. The range of activities offered by ZOPP vzw - Limburg has three spearheads:
- Assisting patient associations in a quality basic operation
- Making the patient's voice more heard
- Creating a bridge between associations and the authorities
At Sint-Trudo Hospital, we want to put the patient first. We try to make patient participation concrete through collaborations with associations. Patients thereby gain access to experiential knowledge and psychosocial support from the association.
Our hospital has cooperation agreements with the following self-help groups:

This can be done at meeting afternoons or, if desired, at a visit at home or in the hospital. In this way they want to help and guide you to lead as normal a life as possible. Because even with a stoma, life can be beautiful.
