Duties of the patient

As a patient, you also have duties:

• have respect for the health care providers, other staff and fellow patients in the hospital.
• give your doctor all the information about your health condition (what symptoms do you have, what medication are you already taking, are you following any other medical treatments, etc.). This is important for diagnosis and treatment.
• keep appointments for consultations and interventions. If you cannot come, notify the health care provider as soon as possible.
• carefully follow the healthcare provider's advice.
• do not smoke in the hospital.
