After obtaining a master's degree in medicine from Maastricht University, Dr Catheline Bocqué further specialised in ophthalmology. She did so as a resident at Augenklinik Sulzbach, as a cataract surgery fellow at the Máxima Medisch Centrum in Eindhoven, and worked as an ophthalmologist at the Petrisberg Eye Clinic in Trier. Dr Catheline Bocqué was awarded the title of Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology in 2022.
