We are pleased to welcome Dr. Sigurd Ghekiere as a new physician at our hospital.
He will join our current medical team as an attending cardiologist. He will focus on the further development of imaging and device therapy within our hospital in collaboration with Jessa Hospital.
After obtaining a master of medicine with high distinction at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, he further specialized and gained valuable experience within the field as an assistant at AZ Sint-Lucas Gent and UZ Leuven. From 2025, Dr. Sigurd Ghekiere will pursue additional training in device implantation at Jessa Hospital.
Dr. Sigurd Ghekiere was a cardiologist at RZ Tienen since 2023, as well as active at UZ Leuven specifically for echocardiography.
