Dr. Okke Schoolmeesters grew up among the North Limburg fields and, after a bachelor's degree at UHasselt, continued her medical education at the University of Antwerp, where she graduated with high honors in 2016.
She received her further training as a specialist in emergency medicine at Gasthuis Zusters Antwerpen, Jessa Ziekenhuis Hasselt and Universitair Ziekenhuis Antwerpen under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Koenraad Monsieurs.
Dr. Okke Schoolmeesters has a special interest in traumatology, point-of-care ultrasound and pre-hospital medicine. As co-founder of Young Emergency Practioners Antwerp, she holds lifelong learning and teaching in high regard.
