Why a new route system?

The previous system with colors and letters had been reaching it's limits for some time. Patients and visitors lost their way at a number of points in the hospital, and the previous system could not distinguish adequately between the various final destinations. Together with experts in signage, the working group conducted a study to come up with the most logical signage. Other hospitals were also consulted.

This way, the signage that is efficient for the largest group of people was finally chosen, namely a route system.

Switchover

In the coming weeks, extra staff and volunteers will be on standby to help people on their way during this adjustment period. So be sure to speak to them in the entrance hall or on the way to your destination.

How does the route system work?

Each waiting room, service or nursing unit has a route number. When you register for a consultation you will get the route number on your registration ticket. If you come to visit, you will see the list of departments on the screen in the entrance hall. Afterwards you will find the route numbers on the signage.

It's pretty self-explanatory, but if you want to see how it works anyway, you can watch the movie below. Here you will also find an alphabetical list of relevant final destinations, so that you can check in advance where you will end up. Is there still something not quite clear? Our staff is here for you!
