Isokinetic testing

An isokinetic examination with the Biodex or Cybex can test the muscle strength of all large and medium-sized joints (knee, hip, shoulder, ankle).

Gradient

The device provides a load of constant speed. The more counterforce you start to deliver, the more resistance you get from the device. The test measures your strength development. Thanks to the accompanying software, assessing and training muscles and joints is easy. There is a preset force value you must be able to maintain that is determined individually. We can also record a movement trajectory. Using reference values, your results are analyzed and we provide a comprehensive report.

Result

The test gives you insight into the strength development of the muscle groups tested. The results are immediately available and are provided to the rehabilitation physician who will discuss them with you during a consultation.

Isokinetic testing can be part of orthopedic rehabilitation and/or sports rehabilitation but can also be used in neurological or cardiac rehabilitation or for other testing purposes.
