Waar kunnen we jou mee helpen?

Na een operatie, ongeval of ziekte kan het zijn dat jouw lichaam niet meer werkt zoals het hoort. Je kan hinder ondervinden bij dagelijkse activiteiten of je beroepsactiviteiten. Onze revalidatieartsen zijn er in gespecialiseerd om je terug op weg te helpen. Op verwijzing van een revalidatiearts kan je terecht in ons ambulant revalidatiecentrum. Hier gaat ons team met jou aan de slag om de negatieve impact zoveel mogelijk te beperken of te gaan compenseren door de juiste therapie en hulpmiddelen. 

Door een multidisciplinaire samenwerking tussen o.a. revalidatieartsen, kinesitherapeuten, ergotherapeuten, logopedisten en psychologen kunnen we je de best mogelijke therapie op maat bieden. Jouw revalidatie gebeurt altijd in nauw overleg met de behandelend(e) arts(en). 

What can we help you with?

After an operation, accident or illness, your body may no longer work as it should. You may be hindered in daily or professional activities. Our rehabilitation doctors are specialized in helping you get back on your feet. On referral from a rehabilitation doctor, you can visit our outpatient rehabilitation center. Here our team will work with you to minimize the negative impact or start compensating for it through the right therapy and tools.

Through multidisciplinary cooperation between rehabilitation physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists and psychologists, among others, we can offer you the best possible customized therapy. Your rehabilitation is always done in close consultation with the doctor(s) treating you.

Who works in our team?

The speech therapists provide therapy to adults with speech and language problems (aphasia, word finding problems, dysarthria), swallowing problems (dysphagia), voice problems, facial paralysis and cognitive rehabilitation. In addition to therapy, they also provide patient safety through swallow screenings in patients who have impaired swallowing function. Thus, together with the dieticians, they ensure safe and appropriate nutrition.

Our occupational therapists guide you in regaining your functionality. You will be guided with specific customized exercise therapy and, if necessary, together we will look for the right tool to achieve as much independence as possible.

Through exercise therapy and/or manual techniques, the physical therapist treats and guides you through various conditions that can be both acute or chronic. The different specializations among our physical therapists are: orthopedic rehabilitation with sports rehabilitation or manual therapy, internal rehabilitation (breathing techniques, heart, lung, metabolism), neurological rehabilitation, children and mental health. We always pair the most appropriate physical therapist with each patient.

Psyche and physic go hand in hand. Stress, fretting or poor sleep often result in physical complaints. For this we offer group sessions that center around certain themes. Sometimes an individual program may be started or the partner/family may be involved in the rehabilitation. This can all happen with our psychologists. They, together with the occupational therapist, also provide memory screenings.

Practical questions

Be sure not to bring valuables. Do bring your own towel and clean, athletic footwear. Water is provided at the hospital.

For reimbursement, you must contact your health insurance, based on the nomenclature number you receive from the hospital.

Keep in mind that you cannot have a consultation with your private physiotherapist or with your rehabilitation doctor on the same day of your rehabilitation.
