Falls Clinic
The falls clinic of Sint-Trudo Hospital focuses on patients with walking and/or balance disorders and recurrent falls. A multidisciplinary team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, geriatricians and nurses will help you with a screening and give you tailored advice to avoid falls to the maximum.
About 30% of people over the age of 65 fall once a year. Due to the aging of the population, the number of fall incidents is increasing. Direct injuries from a fall include bone fractures, soft tissue injuries and cerebral disorders. In addition, there are the psychological consequences of a fall, where the fear of another fall can undermine self-reliance. Both aspects can jeopardize independent functioning in the home situation.

Clinical biology lab
The laboratory clinical biology performs analyses on blood, urine, stool or other body materials. These samples are analyzed 24/7 within the laboratory, both for patients admitted to the hospital and for patients from other hospitals and patients who come to the laboratory with a request or samples after a consultation with a general practitioner or specialist. For special analyses, we cooperate with external Belgian or foreign laboratories that are experts in their field.
